Senator Jim Oberweis talks with Mackenzie Egert, a 5th-grade student at Kaneland McDole Elementary School in Montgomery, at TECH 2014, a demonstration of school technology May 8 in the State Capitol.

TECH 2014 allows students to display their projects and show state leaders what skills will be needed for the Illinois work force and how technology can improve teaching and learning. The Kaneland McDole School students demonstrated their expertise in the 4C’s (communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity) by sharing their everyday use of the iPad in the classroom.
