Residents of the 25th District will have access to information about healthcare and wellness issues – especially those affecting the “Sandwich Generation” – at a free event being sponsored by Senator Jim Oberweis in conjunction with several area lawmakers and medical centers.
The Healthcare & Wellness Symposium is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., July 20, at Marmion Academy, 1000 Butterfield, Road, in Aurora.
To register for this free event, call 630-800-1992 or send an e-mail to legislativewellness@gmail.com.
Senator Oberweis said the event will provide help for the “Sandwich Generation” – those people who care for their aging parents while supporting their children and handling their own personal responsibilities. Vendors from the medical community will be on hand offering information as well as free screenings. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Thomas Cornwell of Cadence Physicians’ Group-Home Care Physicians.
A free continental breakfast will also be available.
The Healthcare & Wellness Symposium is being sponsored by Senator Oberweis, Senator Linda Holmes of Aurora, Representative Linda Chapa La Via of Aurora, Representative Mike Fortner of West Chicago, Representative Kay Hatcher of Yorkville, Cadence Health, Presence Mercy Medical Center, and Rush-Copley.
