Local residents are invited to attend a Town Hall meeting March 23 in Elburn with Senator Jim Oberweis and Representative Keith Wheeler of Oswego.
The Town Hall meeting is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., March 23, in the loft at Fishermen’s Inn, located at 43W901 Main Street Road in Elburn. The Town Hall Meeting is free and open to the public.
“Meeting with 25th District residents and getting to know them better is my central role and responsibility as a State Senator. Talking with them about their concerns and opinions about the issues that affect us all will help me better represent their viewpoints in Springfield,” Senator Oberweis said. “Town Hall meetings also provide a setting for community leaders to check in with each other and area residents.”
Senator Oberweis and Representative Wheeler will provide constituents with an update on recent developments from Springfield and legislation they are working on this session. Attendees are welcome to ask questions on any issue and engage in discussion with their local legislators.
“As a new legislator, I am traveling throughout the district listening to families’ concerns and sharing my priorities for how we can get our economy moving again,” said Representative Wheeler. “Our Town Hall meeting gives us a chance to update local residents on what we’re working on in Springfield and here at home. It is also a terrific opportunity for taxpayers to share their feedback directly with us on the issues that matter most to them.”
