Honoring those who have served our country!

For the second year, we are honoring the military service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform who have passed away.

To honor loved ones and friends who have served in the U.S. Armed Services, we encourage you to submit a photograph and written remembrance of your deceased veteran to be displayed on the Illinois State Capitol Memorial Day Remembrance Wall. Your submissions will be displayed in the State Capitol Rotunda from May 26 through July 4.

Please e-mail to MemorialDay@senategop.state.il.us a photo and written remembrance (maximum of 250 words) with the following information: Name, Military Branch (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard, Navy), and Conflict Served (Afghanistan and Iraq, September 11, Gulf War, Vietnam, Korea, WWII, WWI, peacetime, other). Military photos are preferred, but not necessary.
